This section is for any material relating to the study of plants in Somerset. Links to useful resources for plant identification, as well as a number of guides to different plant groups produced by our members can be found under Help with ID. A series of articles on the history of Somerset botany have been produced by the late Clive Lovatt which will be included in a History section here when they have been adapted for web display. Until then, you can read some of these in our annual newsletters. There may also be occasional news items on Somerset botany which will appear on the front page. The rare plants of Somerset are listed in the Rare Plant Register, and there is also a register of Somerset Stoneworts (Charophytes).
