9 Clatworthy Reservoir

Park in car park (ST042311).

The muddy shores provide the ideal habitat for Shoreweed and Water Purslane and, in dry seasons, when the water level drops it is extremely good for Goosefoots. The water is too deep in many places for water weeds but Nuttall’s and Canadian waterweeds can be found on the shallower edges. Along the track that runs along the western shore, in some seasons, Greater Broomrape can be found, parasitising on Broom and Gorse. In Week Bottom, by the stream that runs into the reservoir, Musk can be found.
